Description
Operational Maneuverability for Tactical Platforms The SOCOM556-MINI2 is designed for the operator who cannot afford the extra weight or length of a full-size suppressor. Optimized for 14.5-inch M4 variants and longer barrels, the MINI2 adds only 2.5 inches to the weapon’s overall length, ensuring that maneuverability is never compromised during vehicle egress, CQB, or stack operations. Despite its compact 5-inch size, it delivers significant acoustic attenuation and signature reduction without sacrificing the rugged durability that established the SureFire SOCOM legacy.
Engineering & Flow Dynamics Constructed from high-temperature Inconel alloys and stainless steel, the MINI2 is engineered to withstand the thermal and erosive rigors of full-auto fire. SureFire’s innovative internal baffling technology creates a significant decrease in back pressure, cyclic rate acceleration, and gas blowback. This not only keeps the host firearm running cleaner and cooler but also ensures consistent, repeatable sub-MOA impact shift—a requirement for precise engagement at range. Additionally, the unit features SureFire’s Total Signature Reduction® technology, which effectively eliminates the first-round flash often found in lesser suppressor designs.
Important Procurement Note (Mounting Hardware) The SOCOM556-MINI2 utilizes the tool-less Fast-Attach® system for secure, rapid mounting. This suppressor does not natively include the host muzzle device. When submitting an RFP, armorers must ensure they explicitly add backward-compatible SureFire SOCOM Fast-Attach® muzzle devices—specifically optimized for SF3P, WARCOMP, or compensator adapters—to ensure immediate deployment capability upon delivery.
