Mobile Range-Level Sustainment for 40mm Platforms
The Sage Control Ordnance RLP brings the capabilities of your agency’s armory directly to the training range. Manufactured in partnership with LEE Precision, this rugged hand press utilizes compound leverage to effortlessly perform the heavy sizing and seating operations required for massive 40mm aluminum casings. By allowing instructors to de-prime, size, and press fresh KO41 batons from the tailgate of a patrol vehicle, the RLP drastically reduces logistical downtime during high-volume mobile field force or SWAT training evolutions.
Advanced Leverage & Critical Compatibility
-
Compound Mechanical Advantage: Pressing a 40mm kinetic baton past the tight friction tolerances of a casing—and overcoming the resistance of the KO41/R sealing O-ring—requires significant, even pressure. The RLP’s linkage system multiplies operator force, ensuring batons are seated squarely without warping the hull.
-
Breech-Lock Quick Change: The press accepts standard 7/8″-14 threaded reloading dies, allowing armorers to quickly swap between 40mm KO41 seating stems, decapping pins, and resizing dies without losing their established depth settings.
-
Important Procurement Note (Shell Holder): To accommodate the massive base of a 40x46mm NATO casing, this press requires the adjustable 40mm shell holder. This shell holder is NOT included with the base RLP model. If your agency is building a kit from scratch rather than replacing an existing press, please ensure the 40mm shell holder is explicitly added to your RFP.
